Welcome to my website!
Thank you for taking time to visit my page and get to know me a little more. My name is Samantha Peer and I am a senior public relations major at Waynesburg University. Public Relations is a passion that I discovered within myself during my third semester at Waynesburg.
I first uncovered my passion for PR in seeking a career path that combined my writing, organization, creativity and interpersonal skills. After independent research and countless hours spent speaking with public relations professionals and reflecting upon my life's purpose, I am certain that obtaining an education with a background in public relations is the right choice for me. Attending both National and Regional Conferences through PRSSA and hearing from some of public relation's finest practitioners such as Pam Jenkins of Powell Tate and John Lorenzini of Google has only solidified my inclination to develop a career in public relations. With a strong interest in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability, one of my heart's desires is to work for a public relations agency or company, working in Corporate Social Responsibility, Green Standards and Sustainability or Global Relations department.
Attending a service-oriented university, I have devoted many hours to community service through Habitat for Humanity and The Pittsburgh Project, among other organizations. Possessing a passion for youth, I have served as a camp counselor at Jumonville, a Christian summer camp for middle school and high school students, and as a nursery leader at my church. I would love to continue to serve others through my career in public relations. My personal career goal is to genuinely contribute to the growth of an organization and inspire change in the world through my personal and professional endeavors.
